Geotechnical Construction Inspections

During the construction stage of your project there are often conditions on your building consent requiring key stages of your construction to be observed/tested by a geotechnical engineer to confirm that ground conditions are in accordance with the project geotechnical design assumptions and suitable for the foundations.

Shire Geotechnics provides inspections for all related aspects of construction required for and to issue Council Producer Statement Construction Review (PS4) paper work.

Key construction stages often requiring inspection:

  • Building platform subgrade

  • Clay or hardfill earthworks

  • Shallow foundation and deep foundations

  • Retaining wall foundations

  • CBR testing or road pavement and accessways

If you require a geotechnical engineer for a construction inspection or you would like further information, please contact us.
